If you grow Eucalyptus trees in normal pots or containers, the roots grow so fast that when you're not looking you'll find the roots formed into a circling mass. This circling mass of roots will prevent the tree from establishing efficiently (if at all) when it's planted out.
Airpots prevent the roots circling and encourages a well structured root formation. This allows Eucalyptus trees to be grown larger whilst maintaining a high transplant success rate.
