Attractive Bark

Attractive Bark

Eucalyptus are well know for their peeling bark. In the wild this oily, scented bark is shed to aid in the start of wildfires which clears the undergrowth and allows growing space for new seedlings. This won't happen in your garden unless we have an Australian summer!

Below is a selection of trees that have particularly attractive bark.

Hardiness: *** -15°C +
Soil: Neutral
Position: Wind & Exposure Tolerant
Growth Habit: Tall and spreading crown, can be kept clipped as shrub for production of young leaves.
