Eucalyptus are unusual in that they are a broadleaf evergreen tree and keep their leaves throughout the winter. These make them an excellent tree to provide winter interest and year-round screening. The leaves range massively from small, dark-green and waxy to blue-green, pale green, olive green and broad with red edges.
The juvenile foliage often differs from the adult leaves. The young leaves of some species is used in floristry as they are rounded, blue-green and glaucous
